Privacy at PlayPio
PlayPio is a browser game portal that helps users discover and access HTML5 games on desktop, tablet, Android, and iPhone. We aim to keep the platform transparent while supporting game discovery, optional accounts, favorites, basic analytics, error monitoring, and third-party embedded gameplay.
This policy describes the types of information that may be processed when you use PlayPio, why that information may be needed, and the choices available through your browser, account, device, or applicable local law.
Information we may receive
Cookies and local storage
Third-party game providers
Your choices and requests
Information that may be collected
- Pages, categories, or game listings visited on PlayPio.
- Browser type, device category, language, screen information, referral path, and approximate technical location derived from network information.
- Performance, reliability, security, and error information used to diagnose broken pages or failed features.
- Account information supplied through Supabase authentication, such as an email address, display name, or avatar where available.
- Favorites, recently played games, preferences, and other optional user interactions.
- Information included voluntarily in support, privacy, publisher, business, or copyright-related messages.
Cookies, local storage, and authentication
PlayPio may use cookies or browser storage to maintain login sessions, protect authentication flows, remember preferences, manage favorites, store recently played game references, and keep essential features working.
Some recently played information may be stored directly in your browser rather than being saved to a PlayPio account. Removing browser data may remove those locally stored preferences.
Disabling cookies or local storage may affect login, favorites, embedded games, preferences, analytics, or other website features.
Analytics and error monitoring
PlayPio may use analytics and monitoring tools to understand aggregate usage, improve navigation, measure page performance, and diagnose technical failures. Error monitoring services such as Sentry may process technical details related to an error, browser, page, or request.
We aim to avoid intentionally sending passwords, private authentication tokens, Supabase service credentials, or other server-side secrets to analytics and monitoring providers.
Third-party games and iframe providers
PlayPio displays games supplied by third-party publishers and game platforms. A vendor game is loaded only on its play page and only after the user chooses to start it. The game may then run inside a sandboxed iframe hosted by the relevant provider.
Once a third-party game is loaded, the provider may use its own cookies, local storage, analytics, advertising systems, gameplay logs, or other technologies. PlayPio does not directly control all processing performed inside a vendor-operated game.
Users should review the privacy information of the relevant game provider when they need more details about provider-controlled gameplay, advertising, identifiers, or technical logs.
Advertising and provider monetization
PlayPio currently focuses primarily on revenue-sharing arrangements offered by game providers. A vendor may display advertising inside its own game experience according to the vendor’s systems and policies.
Website-level advertising services may be enabled, disabled, or changed over time. If services such as Google advertising products or another display advertising provider are enabled, those services may use cookies or similar technologies for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency controls, and reporting, subject to applicable consent requirements.
PlayPio does not intentionally place website advertising inside a vendor iframe or interfere with advertising managed by the game provider.
How information may be used
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve PlayPio.
- To authenticate users and support account-related features.
- To provide favorites, recently played games, and user preferences.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve performance, reliability, navigation, and content quality.
- To prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect the platform.
- To respond to support, privacy, publisher, legal, or copyright requests.
Service providers and information sharing
Information may be processed by providers that support hosting, authentication, database services, monitoring, analytics, content delivery, email, game delivery, or other essential operations. These may include services such as Vercel, Supabase, Sentry, and approved game vendors.
PlayPio does not sell personal information to advertisers. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with applicable law, protect users or the platform, investigate abuse, or respond to a valid legal request.
Security and retention
PlayPio uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect platform information. These measures may include secure transport, controlled access, server-side authorization, iframe domain validation, security headers, and restricted use of privileged Supabase credentials.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, account operation, or legitimate platform needs.
No online system can guarantee absolute security, and third-party providers remain responsible for their own systems.
Privacy choices and requests
Browser and device settings may allow you to remove cookies, clear local storage, limit tracking, or control advertising personalization. These settings may affect some PlayPio or third-party game features.
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Requests are reviewed according to applicable law and may require reasonable identity verification.
Account deletion
Signed-in users can permanently delete their PlayPio account from Account Settings. Account deletion removes the Supabase authentication identity and account-linked profile, favorites, and game reactions.
Recently played history and certain preferences may be stored locally on the device rather than in the PlayPio account. Those local items are not automatically removed by account deletion and can be cleared through browser or app storage settings.
Game reports, support communications, security records, or records required for legal compliance may be retained only when reasonably necessary. Where practical, direct account identifiers are removed or disconnected after account deletion.
Children’s privacy
PlayPio is a general-audience browser game portal. Users who have not reached the minimum age required in their jurisdiction should use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly request more personal information from children than is reasonably needed to operate the service. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us for review.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when PlayPio’s features, providers, legal obligations, analytics, advertising, or account systems change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
